One of the unique advantages of a Canisius education is the opportunity for udergraduate research.  Faculty at Canisius actively engage undergraduate students in hands-on research, which is also an integral role for students preparing to attend graduate or professional school.

Research is typically conducted in collaboration with a Canisius faculty member, which often provides students with the opportunity to present papers at research conferences and publish articles in professional journals.  In addition to on-campus research, students work side by side with faculty at site locations such as Sri Lanka, British Columbia and Maine gaining valuable hands-on learning opportunities.
