Where Does the Time Go?
Time is flying! I don’t believe that the second semester is almost over! I actually just finished registering for classes- what a rush! That experience was kind of like watching a bunch of fish fighting for one little piece of a cracker someone dropped in the water. One second, the class that I wanted had 7 spots left and the next it was closed. That was major intensity for 9 o’clock in the morning. I don’t think I was quite prepared for that!
So I went to the semi-formal and I have to say, that was really fun. I took my boyfriend Matt, and went along with a group of my friends. The food was really good! I had the chicken, but between you and me, if you’re thinking of going next year, go with the beef. I was jealous when I saw my friend Jimmy with a plate of juicy steak in front of him. He thought it was fantastic too. They also had great mashed potatoes, which are probably my favorite food. But enough about the food! First of all, the Statler was gorgeous. I’ve been there a couple times before because my high school dances were there as well, so it wasn’t too much of a surprise to me, but it was still lovely. Another really awesome bonus was that every person got a free picture! Sweet deal for sure. The dance floor was just big enough for all of us, and I must say I did “dance the night away.” It was so much fun being with my friends and my boyfriend and just having a good, carefree time. I can’t wait until the next one!

My roommate and I are very adventurous girls and we are trying to get the most of our college experience…which is why we participated in this year's Scavenger Hunt! What a challenge! Some of the things on that list of things to find were unbelievable. For example, one of the things was a phonebook from Erie, PA. Do you know that some people actually drove to Erie to get this phonebook!? I won’t lie though, I was this close to driving out there to get that 20 point item, I just didn’t have time. We decided it was better to get a bunch of the other stuff rather than the one big thing. So many random things were on the list: a chain of 7 paper clips, a big pencil, a picture of one roommate touching two dogs at once, a picture of both roommates in a public safety car, a La Nova Pizzaria pizza box, tweezers, 4 different sized bouncy balls, something inflatable, and so on… My favorite part of the hunt was all the pictures we had to take. They made sure you wouldn’t cheat by editing them in Photoshop too- you had to take the picture holding up a piece of paper that had some random historical picture on it. We were given those at the start of the hunt. Overall, it was a blast!
Well, it's time to do some studying. Until next time....
