Senior Year

Time really flies as a senior! I thought senior year was going to be all about friends and having a good time. I definitely got that one wrong. All I’ve been doing is going to classes and interning. Whenever I’m not doing those things I’m on the job search. I feel tons of pressure right now because my entire school career has been leading up to this point. It’s extremely hard to find free time.

I do love my internship though at J.Mclaughlin. It has really given me valuable experience that I can talk about on my job interviews. So far I’ve assisted the buyer with planning store assortments and performing distributions for their 36 retail locations. It’s really exciting to be involved with the flow of goods from the manufacturer to the selling floor. It’s especially exciting that I’m dealing with clothes all day!

Even though I’m busy with school and work it is an exciting point to be at. I’ve been attending career fairs, going on job interviews and researching companies like crazy trying to find the best fit for me.
