What is an internship?
An internship is a supervised practical experience. Through an internship students have an opporutnity to integrate skills acquired in the classroom with a structured experience in the workplace. Interns complete temporary or project related assignments, providing value to employers.

More than "Just a Job"
Although an internship may look like a "job", it is viewed and structured as a learning experience. Students learn about their chosen academic area of study, work enivronments and career paths, and gain interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership.

The director of internships, Roslyn Colón, is located in the Career Center. She assists students in searching and preparing for internships, and works with organizations in developing and advertising internship opportunities.
