The College Relations Division honors one if its employees with the annual George M. Martin Advancement Award. Established in 1983 by George M. Martin, special counsel to the president, the award is presented to a member of the advancement staff whose initiative, creativity and teamwork brings distinction to him/herself and the college.
In 2009, the award was presented to Marion A. Mittler Jagodzinski (center), director of donor relations and special events. She is pictured above with George Martin (right) and John J. Hurley ‘78 (left) executive vice president and vice president for college relations.
The College Relations Division at Canisius College encompasses the areas of Alumni Relations; Annual Fund; Corporate and Foundation Relations; Development Services; Prospect Research; Endowed Scholarships; Government Relations; Major Gifts; and Public Relations, Creative Services, and Web Services.
