Canisius College Center for Professional Development offers adult education, certification programs, consulting, professional training and development. Our classes are designed to provide critical knowledge and skills to maximize employees' and their organization's performance. These training programs, taught by faculty and qualified professionals, can be delivered in house at your facility or off-site at our Amherst Campus (outside Buffalo, NY).

Cultural Change: Come and participate in this one day training program to learn about the process the county is utilizing to assist in the implementation of it's Lean/Six Sigma initiative. Learn how it can assist your organization in obtaining your goals.
Fundamentals of Fundraising: Recognized professionals from Education, Health care and the Arts will share tools and techniques to help participants be more effective as fund raisers.
Leadership Program for Women: This nine-week program is for any woman who wants to be more effective in the workplace.
Lean Six Sigma: Become a change agent who leads and supports efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization.
Management Development Program: The program will offer participants powerful tools and techniques to maximize personal and company performance.
Paralegal Certificate: This intensive, nationally acclaimed program is designed for beginning as well as advanced legal workers. Students will be trained to assist trial attorneys, interview witnesses, investigate complex fact patterns, research the law and assist in preparing cases for courtroom litigation.
(SHRM) Essentials of Human Resource Management: The SHRM Essentials of Human Resource Management Certificate Program is an introductory course offering a comprehensive overview of the human resource function. The course covers today’s most vital and timely topics, including employment law, selecting qualified employees, compensation, orientation and training, and the employee performance process.
(SHRM) Learning System Courses: An intensive 12-week program designed primarily for individuals seeking SHRM certification; as a Professional in Human Resource (PHR®) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®).
Technology Courses: We offer technology classes in an environment that allows our knowledgeable, field experienced instructors to manage hands-on lab demonstrations that mirror the real-world work environment.
