Board Of Regents Appoints Seven New Members

New members serve three-year terms

BUFFALO, NY – The Canisius College Board of Regents has appointed seven new members to fill outgoing positions. The Board serves as an advisory group to Canisius President Rev. Vincent M. Cooke, S.J., and the Canisius College Board of Trustees. New members serve three-year terms. The new Board of Regents members are:
  • John P. Belbas ’82, DDS, owner of a general dentistry practice in Lakeville, NY.;
  • James F. Dentinger ’83, MBA ’94, partner and president of the McGuire Development Company LLC;
  • Deborah A. DiMatteo MBA ’88, vice president of business and professional banking for M&T Bank;
  • Rocco Lucente II ’80, managing partner with the law firm of Cohen & Lombardo PC;
  • James J. Rzad ’70, MBA ’75, retired president of Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School;
  • Mary L. Turkiewicz ’80, MD, president of Southtowns Radiology Association; and
  • Michael J. Ryan ’64, an attorney with the Cosgrove Law Offices;
Officers for the Canisius College Board of Regents are Chair James E. Sherwood ’68, PhD, executive dean and campus CEO of the Ammerman Campus of Suffolk County Community College; and Vice Chair Ronald A. Raccuia ’90, president of Integrity Office and ADPRO Sports.
