All full-time freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and accepted transfer students (with valid Canisius ID's) are elligible to apply for upper-class housing.

Important Reminder: According to the college policy, all first and second year students are required to live on campus.

Housing Selection Instruction Manual (.pdf):
New this year, download the instructional packet that we have created for you with EVERYTHING you need to know about housing selection 2010-2011! Beginning December 1, 2009, manuals will also be available for pick-up in the Office of Residence Life, located in the lower-level of Dugan Hall. Download it, save it to your computer, print it out, or pick it up---have these instructions available throughout the housing selection process!

STEPS TO TAKE TO LIVE ON CAMPUS FOR THE 2010-2011 ACADEMIC YEAR:

All full-time freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and accepted transfer students (with valid Canisius IDs) are eligible to apply for upper-class housing selection.

Step 1: Submit your housing deposit
A non-refundable $200 deposit is required and must be paid online, by phone, or at the Office of Student Accounts prior to building a team and selecting rooms online.  If paying by check, please write “Housing Deposit” on the check.  Payments may also be made in installments as often as needed until $200 is reached.

The deadline for deposits has passed, please contact Residence Life if you have any questions (716) 888-8300.

Once your deposit has been made, please move on to the next step…

Step 2: Build your team online
Students must log-on to create a team of other residents whom they wish to live with.

Deadline for team building to be completed: Monday, March 1, 2010 by 5 PM
Step 3: Choose your team’s room preferences OR Reserve your current room
Beginning Monday, March 8, 2010, students may log back on and choose their room preferences or reserve their current room.

Choosing room preferences:
From March 8, 2010 until March 18, 2010, students may log-in to Build a List of Preferred Buildings and Rooms.

Reserving your current room:
If 75 percent of your current roommates wish to live in the same room that you live in now, you can reserve your current room for next year.

Deadline for choosing room preferences or reserving your current room: Thursday, March 18, 2010 by 5 PM
Step 4: Wait to receive your housing assignment via email!
Students who are placed in 2-, 3-, and 5-person apartments will receive their assignment via email on Tuesday, March 23, 2010.

Students who are placed in 4-person apartments will receive their assignment via email on Thursday, March 25, 2010.
