ArtsCanisius presents the following performances, which are free and open to the public unless otherwise specified:
- Tuesday, October 1 – Informally-Formal Chamber Recital at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center featuring Robert Hausmann, cello; Martha Malkiewicz, bassoon; and Jane Cary, harpsichord. BPO musicians Hausmann and Malkiewicz will join Cary to present a chamber concert of solo works, duos and trios. The recital will include works by Jean-Philippe Rameau, W.A. Mozart, Francois Couperin, Eugene Bozza and G.F. Handel. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $7 for students.
- Thursday, October 17 – Art Lecture by David G. Miller, adjunct professor of fine arts at Canisius University, at 2:30 p.m. in the Regis Room of the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center. Miller’s lecture is entitled “Creating Two and Three Dimensional Work.”
- Monday, October 21 – Meet-the-Faculty Recital featuring Richard Falkstein, guitar and Melissa Thorburn, mezzo-soprano at 12:00 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. The performance will feature works by W.A. Mozart, Franz Schubert, Francisco Tàrrega, Joaquin Turina and Scottish Airs with texts by Robert Burns.
Parking during ArtsCanisius events is available in all Canisius lots except Loyola Hall.
The ArtsCanisius series at Canisius University presents concerts by professional musicians, including members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Canisius faculty, art shows and lectures by professional artists, as well as student recitals.
