BUFFALO, NY – The American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) has honored Kayla N. DeCoste ’12, with its 2011-2012 Outstanding Senior in French Award.
DeCoste is an international relations/European studies and French dual major with a minor in religion of the worlds at Canisius University. She has participated in study abroad, is an officer of the Canisius University French Club and is a member of Phi Delta Phi, the national French honor society. DeCoste is a student of Eileen M. Angelini, PhD, professor of French.
AATF was founded in 1927 and has as its mission the promotion of the study of the French language and French-speaking literatures and cultures at all levels. The organization recognizes the achievements of outstanding students and their teachers. The goal of the AATF Outstanding Senior in French Award is to motivate students to continue their study of French either through a career in teaching or as a complement to any other profession.
