A graduate of Canisius, Matt Lardo joined the Biology department in 2018 as the coordinator for the first year biology labs. Previously, Matt taught at the high school level, teaching biology, chemistry, and mathematics. Besides coordinating/instructing the BIO 111L and BIO 112L labs, Matt has also instructed both BIO 111 and BIO 112 lectures.
With Master’s degrees in both science education and in biomedical sciences, Matt brings an approach to the labs that encourages exploration and inquisitiveness. With his open door policy, Matt truly enjoys working with the students, and is always available to provide a helping hand and/or a good laugh. He hopes that each student that walks through the door is excited to be there, and tries to provide a fulfilling experience for all. In his free time, Matt enjoys biking, gaming, and advancing his culinary skills.
