Dr. Sarah Tulin is an evolutionary developmental biologist who studies how the process of evolution creates animal diversity through changes to the developmental program. Dr. Tulin uses sea anemones and sea urchins as model organisms and investigates changes to the way gene expression is regulated during key embryonic stages. Dr. Tulin’s teaching interests are in developmental biology, evolutionary development biology (evo-devo), and human reproduction. Dr. Tulin is the faculty advisor for the Tri-Beta honor society. When she isn’t doing science, Dr. Tulin loves to read, bake, rock climb, play ultimate frisbee and volleyball.
