Stephen Chanderbhan

Prof. Chanderbhan's areas of academic specialization are in medieval philosophy (particularly the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas), moral psychology, and philosophy of religion. He also has interests in Catholic social thought and philosophy of mind. He has published on the role of emotions in moral reasoning in the thought of Thomas Aquinas. His current research is in the relationship between Thomistic ethics and narrative, as well as the relationship between narrative and the ideal of solidarity in Catholic social thought.

Prof. Chanderbhan is also the Director of the Catholic Studies Program at Canisius, as well as the Co-Director of the Be the Light Youth Theology Institute at Canisius.
