Dr. O’Donnell’s teaching and research are in the areas of accounting information systems, data analytics, auditing, and accounting. His current research focus includes adoption of data analytics in auditing, emerging auditing technologies, and accounting information systems education. Dr. O’Donnell is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified information systems auditor (CISA). He brings his real world auditing and consulting experiences to the classroom to enhance student learning. Dr. O’Donnell is a past recipient of the Wehle School of Business Outstanding Undergraduate Professor Award. He teaches Data Analytics in Accounting, Information Systems Auditing, Intermediate Accounting, Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting.
