BUFFALO, NY - Canisius softball marked the end of an era with the retirement of 
head coach Mike Rappl ‘77. The only head coach in the program’s 35-year history, Rappl scored 831 career wins, 12 MAAC Championships and 11 NCAA Tournament berths, which make him the winningest head coach in any sport in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference history.
Kim Griffin will serve as the program’s interim head coach for the 2014-2015 season. She has been a member of Rappl’s coaching staff for the past seven seasons.
