Buffalo, NY - Due to overnight and morning weather conditions, the Canisius University campus will be closed today, Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024.
Final exams scheduled for today will be rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, and maintain their original times and locations. If room schedules are updated, professors will notify students via D2L and Email about the changed location.
Students are strongly encouraged to check D2L and their Email for specific class updates or contact their professors with any course-related questions.
We know that the Academic Calendar states residence halls will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, however the university is working with the Office of Residence Life and Chartwells to accommodate students. Additional details will be forthcoming.
Employees able to work remotely should coordinate with their immediate supervisor. For those unable to work remotely, please refer to the snow closing policy (3.3.3 of the University Closing and Class Cancellation Policy), which provides personal days for weather-related events.
Essential personnel should report to campus as usual.
Canisius will continue to monitor conditions throughout the day and provide updates, as necessary.
