2015 ROTC Commissioning at Canisius

BUFFALO, NY – The Army Reserve Officers Training Corp (ROTC) program at Canisius University will commission 21 cadets as second lieutenants during a ceremony on Friday, May 15 at

10 a.m. The ceremony will take place in the Montante Cultural Center, located at the corner of Main Street and Eastwood Place. Major General David J. Conboy, Deputy Commanding General of Operations of United States Army Reserves Command, will serve as guest speaker.

 Four students attend Canisius University, 13 attend the State University of New York at Buffalo, and four attend Buffalo State College. The Canisius students being commissioned are:

  • Ikenna Alozie, a marketing and international business dual major, has been assigned to Transportation Corps, 773D Transportation CO.
  • Matthew Keysa, master’s degree in adolescence education, has been assigned to Military Intelligence, follow on unit unknown.
  • Kathleen Rustowicz, special education/childhood education dual major, has been assigned to Medical Services, follow on unit unknown.
  • Natalie Wagaman, biology major, has been assigned to Medical Services, follow on unit unknown.
