BUFFALO, NY – Canisius University is proud to announce a new partnership with the Ellicottville Brewing Company for the release of EBC X Canisius Fan Zone IPA.
“This delicious, refreshing IPA is part of an effort to bring Golden Griffins together and I’m so excited for our fans to purchase EBC X Canisius Fan Zone IPA in their favorite beer store,” said Canisius University Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue Generation and Fan Engagement Mike Kochczynski '08, MS '12.
A large component of the partnership is to elevate the game day experience within the Koessler Athletic Center.
“We will rebrand the existing Griffins Den to the EBC Canisius Fan Zone," Kochczynski adds. "With this change, we hope to elevate our game day, including making it easier for all fans over 21-years old to purchase and consume beer during Canisius men’s basketball games."
“We’re honored to collaborate with Canisius University on a product that’s as much about school pride as it is about great craft beer," continues Sara Corsi Staley, from EBC's design and marketing division.
In addition to the men's basketball games, Canisius Fan Zone IPA 4-packs will be available at select university events, Wegmans, Tops, all Buffalo Consumers Beverage locations, and the Ellicottville Brewing Company Online Store. A portion of all sales goes directly to Canisius University Athletics.
