Graduate Programs Earn A+ in National Rankings

BUFFALO, NY – Canisius University’s graduate programs are among the best in the U.S. according to Intelligent.com’s 2025 rankings. Using a data-driven methodology, Intelligent.com evaluated programs across a variety of criteria including academic quality, graduation rates, cost and return on investment (ROI) and student resources.  Each program was then scored on a proprietary scale of 0 to 100, drawing on such sources as the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard, U.S. News and World Report, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  This comprehensive analysis was employed to ensure that only programs with a proven track record of academic rigor and strong career outcomes were recognized.

Best One-Year Master’s in Education Degree Programs: Canisius ranks No. 2 for its accelerated master’s in education degree programs, which offer aspiring educators a fast-track route to advance their careers and enhance their skills.  Canisius programs prepare students for a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, curriculum developer, educational administrator and instructional coordinator. 

Best Online One-Year MBA Programs: The university’s online MBA programs came in at No. 11 on Intelligent.com’s annual ranking.  The one-year programs couple flexibility with personal attention to provide students with a strong foundation of knowledge in key business areas, as well as an extensive professional network of mentors and peers.  Canisius University offers one-year online MBA programs in six concentrations: accounting, finance, global supply chain management, investment research and marketing.  

Best Online Master’s in Sports Management/Administration: Canisius earned the No. 27 spot among the nation’s top sports management/administration degree programs.  The university’s program provides students with hands-on experience in an NCAA Division 1 program, giving them access to assistantships, coaching operations and facility management opportunities while preparing them for a wide range of sports-related career options that include coaching, scouting, sports marketing managers, contract negotiation managers and athletic directors.
