Canisius University traditions such as the Bonfire, Griff Weekend, Griffmas, and the 100-Day Party—create meaningful opportunities for students to connect with their peers, celebrate campus life, and feel part of a shared community. These events, from spirited athletic rivalries to festive dinners and seasonal celebrations, help foster friendships, promote school pride, and reinforce a sense of belonging. By participating in these traditions, students build lasting memories, form emotional ties to the university, and strengthen their identity as members of the Canisius family.
