Canisius University's assistant vice president for student records and financial services, has conducted interviews with various media outlets, focusing on practical strategies for completing the FAFSA and providing resources and guidance to help students and families secure financial aid.
In an interview with University Business, Smith discussed the relatively seamless rollout of this year's FAFSA, which opened two weeks ahead of the scheduled Dec. 1 launch date. During appearances on WIVB-TV Channel 4 and WBEN-AM Radio 930, Smith addressed common challenges encountered when applying for financial aid and provided step-by-step advice on the application process. He also shared information about those support resources available to students and families at Canisius University and elsewhere.
