BUFFALO, NY – Canisius University President Steve Stoute was recognized with the Black History Award during a ceremony at Buffalo City Hall on Friday, February 7. Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon conferred the award upon President Stoute, citing his educational contributions to and leadership within the city of Buffalo and the greater Western New York region.
President Stoute was among 10 individuals and organizations honored at the event, which celebrated outstanding achievements across various categories including arts, business, community service, education, faith, family, health and wellness, law and youth leadership. The other aware recipients were:
